Yoga
The goal of yoga is to unite your mind and body; to take your mind away from all the busy-ness and overstimulation of our hectic lives and relocate your focus to within you.
Yoga has many benefits for our well-being. The postures (Asanas) develop strength and flexibility.
The philosophy of yoga (Yamas and Niyamas) enable reflection on who we are and how we relate to others.
Restorative yoga equips us with valuable tools to access our inner calm and peace to reduce anxiety by gently moving your body from a state of ‘fight or flight’ (sympathetic nervous system) to ‘rest and digest’ (parasympathetic nervous system).
Restorative yoga can be incorporated in counselling sessions depending on need or as pure yoga.
